Shri Siddhar Muthuvaduganatha Swamigal as the Poorna Avatar of the Supreme Parasakthi Annai Varahi

One day revered Siddhar Muthuvaduganatha Swamigal left Singampunari & went on a visit to his uncle who lived in the Nettur region. He returned via Shivaganga. At this time, this place was the Capital of the kingdom ruled by Sri Kuzhandaapurivendan Gaurivallva Rajendran. As he was walking along the road, the king with his dear son was seen riding in a carriage drawn by horses and the carriage was moving at a high speed. As a rule, on seeing their ruling king approaching, the people would bow with respect & give way.

The king was annoyed that the Siddhar Muthuvaduganatha Swamigal was walking straight without giving way. He did not bow either. The king was furious. He tapped the horses with the intention of driving the carriage over the Siddha. The horses bolted forward but as they came close to the Siddha they panicked. They lost control and ran wildly and the carriage rolled into a huge pit by the side of the road and was crushed.

The king was badly injured all over his body. The wheel of the carriage had crushed the neck of his dear son & his head had twisted backwards. The King struggled up to his feet. He was heartbroken at the terrible plight of the prince. In spite of their best efforts, the doctors at the palace who treated the boy could do little to bring his head back to normal.

When the king started howling in despair, the great Siddha appeared and stood before him. The king fell at his feet and entreated him to save the prince who was the heir to the throne.

The Siddha said that he would straighten the neck of the prince and save his life if the king agreed to his method of treatment. The king bowed and agreed to this. The Siddha then gazed intently at the sky and called out to Divine Mother Varahi with all his heart. Immediately, the Goddess Shri Varahi entered him. The Siddha stretched the body of the prince straight on the floor. He walked any number of times up and down the body of the child from the base of his feet to the crown of his head wearing the footwear. He stood on the neck of the child and claiming to be the Devi bearing the Shholayudam, he danced round & round. He sprinkled holy water on the child’s neck & stroked it gently. What a miracle! As everyone watched the twisted neck slowly and steadily turned and became normal. The little child got up as though from sleep, fresh & happy, ran & sat on the lap of the king.
